Jens Ravn

Jens Ravn was born in Jylland, Denmark, in 1907.
In early years, his enormous passion for circus
life gave him opportunity to meet circus artists.
He made many friends and it was they who inspired
Jens to paint. The art world, too, fascinated him
and there he got to meet all sorts of people.
Quite a few of these people would become life-
long friends.

For many years Jens shared and ran a business
with a good friend, buying and selling ladies
lingerie. This was in Copenhagen, where he lived
at the time. Eventually he settled down in
Kastrup with his wife, Sigrid and their two sons.

All through the years Jens painted. His works
have been exhibited in galleries throughout
Denmark, including Nykoebing, Jutland and
Copenhagen, as well as Norway, Sweden and
U.S.A.

Jens Ravn died in 1988.
